Espresso Marketing
You have heard the expression “for the cost of a daily espresso…” – well, here is another one. Regardless if you have an offline and online store front, an effective way to keep in front of your customers is the inexpensive Postcard.
You can have a local printer print one up fairly cheap, you can buy laser printer cards and print them your self. The postcard doesn’t need to be 4 color – just some simple text.
Set a goal, take ten minutes to do ten cards a day.
Ideas for your postcard? Try these:
- Say thank you for purchasing from your store
- Say thank you for visiting your trade show booth
- Send links to landing pages for products or white papers
- Strengthen relationships with clients with a simple “We’re thinking about you” message
- Announce a special offer on a new product or service
- Announce a special offer on a clearance item
- Invite clients to a social event sponsored by you
- Announce the opening of a ‘fellow’ business in the neighborhood
- Publicize new business hours
- Survey your clients ask them to go to an online survey
- Distribute a coupon that gives the holder a discount at your store
- Introduce a new manager, sales person
- Send a follow-up card after sending a sales letter
- Remind customers of a seasonal deadline for ordering
- Announce a birth, graduation or retirement
- Offer a mystery gift that is redeemed by visiting your store or Website
- Offer a gift for referring the postcard to a friend or family
As you can see, you can use postcards in different ways to promote your business and stay current with your customers, for the cost of an espresso. Better yet, make it part of your daily routine to grab an espresso, sit down and fill out 10-20 postcards. Pop them in the mailbox on the way back to the office so you know they were personally delivered.
